Design of biogas unit

Biogas is a popular environmental renewable energy source. Biogas is obtained from organic raw materials, usually from organic waste, in an environmentally friendly way, without increasing the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere.

Biogas unit is a complex for the processing of organic waste, which performs the following functions:

  • Biogas production as an alternative to natural gas;
  • Generation of electricity and heat;
  • Disposal or recycling of industrial waste.

Therefore, a biogas unit solves the problems of recycling organic waste and obtaining a high-quality energy source.

The raw material for biogas production can be waste from the food industry, bird droppings, cattle and pigs dung etc. In addition, vegetable waste from agricultural activities is used: silage, straw, beet pulp, stalks of sunflower and corn, garden waste.

Advantages of biogas units:

  1. Generation of electricity, heat, energy for cooling, gas.
  2. Biogas can be obtained and accumulated during a year, independently time of a day.
  3. Weather conditions do not affect the biogas output; its productivity is regulated.
  4. Biogas is used in cars with a gas engine. It can be pumped into containers, transported in cylinders or gas pipelines.
  5. Independence in the field of energy and energy supply.
  6. Improving the ecology of the enterprise where the project is being implemented, since there are no side CO2 emissions into the atmosphere during biogas production.
  7. Making additional profit and reducing the level of pollutant emissions into the atmosphere.

Design stages of biogas unit

  1. Project design

At the first stage, design engineers develop the concept of a biogas unit. When organizing the technical process and planning of structures, should be specified the following:

  • Size or square of biogas unit
  • Terms of construction
  • Equipment
  • Scheme of raw materials supply
  • Construction estimates
  • Concept design of biogas unit

     2. Adaptation of the project in accordance with the legislative requirements

To obtain permission from the state building expertise to start construction, design documentation must comply with State construction codes A.2.2-3-2014 “Composition and content of design documentation for construction”.

     3. Development of working documentation

Working documentation – a detailed description of the object. All construction and installation work is performed in accordance with the working documentation.

The working documentation indicates:

  • Equipment models
  • Types of construction materials
  • Plan of construction works
  • Costs estimate of works on the different sites

After going through these stages, you will get a completed project.

Designing biogas units requires a lot of experience and expert knowledge. Our project team succsessfully developed project of biogas unit on the south of Ukraine. Applying to us, you will be sure in a quality of the designed object.
