Kyiv Investment Day 2024

«WAR IS NOT AN EMBARGO ON INVESTMENTS. UKRAINE IS NOT A TOTAL RED ZONE»

On May 01, 2024, Mykola Herasymenko, CEO, and Kateryna Knysh, Director of Business Development at MCL, attended Kyiv Investment Day 2024, organized by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in partnership with the USAID’s Competitive Economy Program. In light of the upcoming Ukraine Recovery Conference 2024 in Berlin, which is scheduled for June, Kyiv Investment Day gathered representatives from businesses, international financial institutions, and development agencies to discuss the issue of involving the private sector in Ukraine’s economic recovery. Separate sessions allowed representatives from the public, private, and banking industries and international partners from the G7 countries to exchange views on macro scenarios and the dynamics of financing the Ukrainian recovery, investment opportunities, and strategies for developing bankable projects. In the end, the Ministry presented the Investment Guide prepared for presentation at the URC2024.

The key speech at the event was made by United States Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Ann Brink, and The First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.

What is the reason for investing in Ukraine today? Because not many countries in the war have shown economic growth. Only in 2024, the national economy is expected to rise by 4.6%,” Yuliia Svyrydenko stated.
